Because he gets exactly what he wanted, and it’s not the warm, fuzzy version. It’s the dark, sinister fine print kind of love, where every sweet moment feels like a countdown. The movie keeps pushing that uncomfortable question. Was he really wishing for love, or for control, obsession, and the kind of price nobody reads until it’s due?
If you like stories that turn fairy-tale shortcuts into horror-flavored consequences, this one should scratch the itch. Just don’t expect the willow to be a nice guy.

Ein hoffnungsloser Romantiker bricht die „Wunschweide“, um das Herz seiner Angebeteten zu knacken. Klingt nach Märchen. Ist aber eher so ein „Be careful what you wish for“-Moment mit Schleifchen. Denn was danach kommt, ist nicht nur Liebe. Es ist Liebe mit Nebenwirkungen. Je mehr er bekommt, was er sich wünscht, desto klarer wird: Manche Wünsche funktionieren nur, wenn man dafür etwas hergibt. Und zwar nicht unbedingt das, was man morgens noch gut gebrauchen kann.
Regie und Genre-Geschmack hier treffen genau die Sorte Spannung, bei der du die ganze Zeit denkst: Bitte sag jetzt nicht, dass er wirklich dafür bezahlt hat. Spoiler: Doch.
